KEY DATES FOR TRUSTEE APPLICATION PROCESS

VILLAGE OF GARDEN CITY PROPERTY OWNERS’ ASSOCIATIONS

The Village General Election will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2022.  The School Board Annual Election and Budget Vote will be held on May 17, 2022.   Garden City residents interested in becoming a candidate for Village Board Trustee or Board of Education Trustee (Estates & West) should submit their name, address, telephone number, email address, summary of their personal/professional background and reasons for interest in the position as follows:

Residents of Central:

–          Applications for Village Board Trustee are due by Friday, November 5, 2021.  Meet the Candidates Town hall will be held Monday, November 8, 2021.  The Resident Electors’ Meeting will be held on January 18, 2022.  

–         Applications may be submitted by email to Patty Siler, Chairperson, CPOA Nominating Committee at pjst2@yahoo.com.

Residents of the East:

–          Applications for Village Board Trustee are due by Sunday, November 7, 2021.  Meet the Candidates Town hall will be held Tuesday, November 16, 2021.  The Resident Electors’ Meeting will be held on January 18, 2022.  

–          Applications may be submitted to Christine Mullaney, Chairperson, EPOA Nominating Committee 1) via email at gceastnominations@gmail.com or 2) via first class mail to 104 Huntington Road, Garden City, 11530.  

Residents of the Estates:

–          Applications for Village and School Board Trustees are due by Sunday, November 7, 2021.  The Resident Electors’ Meeting will be held on January 18, 2022.  

–          Applications may be submitted by 1) email to gcestatesnominatingcommittee@gmail.com or (2) by first class mail to Property Owners’ Association of Garden City Estates, P.O. Box 282, Garden City, New York 11530. Attn: Nominating Committee.

Residents of the West: 

–          Applications for Village and School Board Trustees are due by Friday, November 12, 2021. Meet the Candidates Town hall will be held Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Homestead School, 7:30 p.m.  The Resident Electors’ Meeting will be held January 18, 2022.

–          Applications may be submitted to 1) Western Property Owners Association; c/o RoseAnn Vernice, President; P.O. Box 7976, Garden City, New York 11530 or 2) by email to drvernice@optonline.net.
